Shrinking means that we cater to and habitually put other’s needs and wants above our own. However, we pay a high price for sacrificing our own needs to appease and cater to others. We may have learned to shrink if our parents did not provide safety, validation, and nurture our emotions so we could grow, develop, and thrive. However, The High Cost of Shrinking will convince you that shrinking is too high a price to pay and simply not worth your authenticity. Additionally, it will provide you the tools to ensure you can learn how to be responsible for meeting your own personal needs, communicating your truth, and avoiding shrinking, so you can create and keep meaningful relationships, deal with conflict constructively, and begin to shine. Indeed, I am convinced this book will inspire you to stop shrinking and begin shining.
