Synopsis

Finally, in this exciting redefinition of baptism in the Spirit, Loren Caudill has produced a fascinating theology of Pentecost that is at once complex and compelling. Reaching into modern scholarship and his Pentecostal experience, the author lifts the veil on ultimate reality and its relationship to Spirit Baptism and to the heavenly places in Christ. For the first time in modern history definitions of New Testament terms like born again, new creation and yes even the term Christian are defined from within their original Pentecostal settings. The reader will sense a fresh wind of excitement as the traditional concepts of eternal life, the kingdom of God, water baptism, the mystery of Christ, the church, and of believers inheritance are scrutinized. Just as believers in mass have become fatigued of church as usual, The Messianic Matrix offers Pentecostals and Fundamentalists alike a new and biblical paradigm for life together in Christ. LOREN W. CAUDILL The author was born and raised rural Iowa. The most profound influences of his youth came from powerful teaching and expressions of the Holy Spirit that he experienced in Summer Bible camps. As a young adult he was trained in the Pentecostal tradition of the Foursquare Gospel. After studying at and graduating from colleges in the Foursquare organization he graduated from Trinity International University in Deerfield Illinois. He began his pastoral ministry in the Foursquare organization and has ministered for over 30 years in both Foursquare and non denominational churches. During the last decade he has dedicated himself to ministry in Ukraine as well as to the research and writing of this book. The concepts found in this work were birthed in the author s travail for an effective ministry in the kingdom of God. It ensued under his belief that a scholarly investigation of these concepts was an absolute necessity.
