Synopsis

Do you ever feel like you are walking in a fog when you look into the Old Testament? The Old Testament contains much that seems confusing - everything from unbelievable miracles to dysfunctional heroes, and subjects like polygamy, genocide, idolatry, and slavery. Then there is the crazy order in which the books are arranged. Add to that, an apparent lack of unity, the absence of a central theme, and the fact that the Old Testament just doesn't seem to make sense! Why should I read it? Why are these stories and writings important, anyway? We live under grace, not law! Is it even relevant for today? If you have ever struggled with these and a hundred other questions about the Old Testament, this is the book for you. Clearing the Fog will give you clarity into the organization, unity, and theme of the Old Testament. It will also give insight into some of the tough questions that arise out of reading the Old Testament pages. Clearing the Fog will provide you with some precise reasons why the Old Testament is invaluable for living as a New Testament believer in Jesus Christ. This book will help you discover in the pages of the Old Testament truths to guide your daily life as you seek to please God. Sam Crouch, is senior pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Elko, Nevada.
