The novel tells the story of French Doctor Manette, his 18 year imprisonment in the Bastille in Paris, and his release to live in London. The story is set against the backdrop of the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror.
First published in 1859, this edition is derived from the original book with 16 black and white illustrations by H. K. Browne. As always, this edition is complete and unabridged.
