Neall Ryon has been a poet-in-waiting for many years as he ventured through a series of careers related to business consulting, management strategies, market research and teaching. In a 50 year career devoted to exploring and understanding human behaviour, he was fortunate to have travelled throughout the world. In observing the many differences in language, culture, food and customs he discovered we all share one thing in common; our humanity. That insight is the inspiration for his poetry. He was co-host of a radio show World Poetry Café and his poem; Easter Parade was included among the 150 poems celebrating Canada's 150th Birthday. In his recent book of poetry and short stories, From the Other Side, Neall Ryon offers both an uncommon view of mundane reality and a revealing view of the sublime. All of which touch on the spiritual ups and downs of living an experience common to us all ... life.
