Synopsis

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Corinthians 5:17

The man originally born as Calvin Buford Armstrong became known as "Buford" and eventually as "Buzz." But to Cameron Armstrong, he was known as "Grand-Dad"-a fierce lover of family and God, who left a family legacy of nearly one hundred dedicated Christians.

Just as Buzz's name underwent transformation, so did Buzz himself. Known in his younger years for his big personality and his partying and troublemaking ways, all changed virtually in an instant when he met his future wife, Gayle. Shedding his penchant for drinking and rebellion, yet with his charismatic personality always intact, Buzz wholeheartedly dedicated himself to his Christian girlfriend and soon-to-be wife and became a loyal and loving family man and, eventually, a faithful follower of Jesus himself.

Buzz's oldest grandson, Cameron Armstrong, wrote Transformed: Grand-Dad's Story to share the extraordinary story and legacy of Buzz Armstrong. Weaving together memories shared with him from more than thirty interviews, Cameron beautifully chronicles Buzz's life, giving readers a glimpse of Buzz's transformative and steady faith in Jesus through the peaks and valleys of his life.
