Currently serving as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Mary in Astana, Kazakhstan, he is a scholar and teacher of patristics, a prolific author, chairman of the Liturgical Commission, and current secretary-general of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Kazakhstan.
