Farooq Ameen is the founding principal of City Design Studio, an architecture and urban design practice based in Los Angeles. Ameen's works, writings, and exhibitions have been widely published including The South Asian Paradigm focusing on Architecture and Urbanism in South Asia, Fifty Under Fifty, Innovators of the 21st Century, "Decoding Dhaka" published in The City and South Asia. Ameen has held academic appointments at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Los Angeles / Lugano) and Calpoly Pomona among others and has lectured widely. Ameen is a member of the Board of Directors at the A+D Architecture and Design Museum. He received a Master of Architecture from UCLA.
