About the Author
*Nicknamed "Iceman" for his cool demeanor on the court, George Gervin played in 12-straight All-Star games and is recognized as one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
*Gervin was inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996; additionally, his #44 jersey has been retired by the San Antonio Spurs.
*Gervin maintains close ties with the San Antonio community, leading several organizations that help underprivileged children
