Rebecca Kai Dotlich is the author of many children's poetry and picture books, including One Day, The End, The Knowing Book, Lemonade Sun and, most recently, Good Night, Oliver Wizard. Her books have won various honours, including the Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Award and the Golden Kite Honor Award. Edson Ikê is an illustrator and graphic designer, who creates illustrations for books, newspapers, magazines, and posters. Woodcutting is the aesthetic basis of his work. The Smith & Lens art gallery in Mississippi, U.S., exhibited his prints in 2016.
