Filip Loncke, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Virginia. For more than three decades he has practiced augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Dr. Loncke is a past president of the International Society for AAC (ISAAC). He has lectured and taught AAC courses in the United States and Europe since the early 1990s. His research interest is in cognitive and psycholinguistic processes involved in atypical communication.
