The book continues with slow scale studies for vibrato, eighth-note scale studies for speed, and a section on learning first position violin arpeggios. First Position Scales works well along with Finger Exercises for the Violin, Book One, Flying Fiddle Duets for Two Violins, Book One, and Playing in Keys for Violin, Book One.
