Synopsis
This full-color art book records one of America's most impactful displays of public art, murals painted on shuttered storefronts during the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown across Seattle (the first major US city to be affected). This book celebrates the awesome community spirit of artists and small businesses and organizations coming together to make beauty in a time of crisis. We are aiming to give exposure to the artists in particular, and to the people who aided and supported them, and to help document these works for the people of Seattle and elsewhere. Including over 140 murals and spanning over 200 pages, this book shows how a hopeful spirit, creative talent, and a community working together, can bring light to a dark time.
