His areas of interest include international policy, urban, regional, and sustainable development, and Latin America. He has written or edited six books on urban planning and design, and global/cross-border development. Dr. Herzog has been a Fulbright Scholar, and a California State University Scholar at the University of Paris. He has served as a consultant to the United States Agency for International Development, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the United States Embassy to Mexico.
