Synopsis
This lightly-guided journal helps aspiring typographers draw, record, and be inspired by the typography they find out in the world. Based on the popular instagram hashtag #letterhunt (in which photographers log interesting shots of signs, fonts, hand-lettering, etc), the Letterhunting Journal features sketpages to hand-draw and sketch found type (as well as log the where/what/when of each piece) and a variety of simple lessons about creating letterforms and type.

About the Author
The Friends of Type are a loose collective of well-respected type designers from New York and San Francisco. Since 2008, they've been collaborating on commercial work as well as on an online project where they post their cheerful experiments into the cutting edge of type-design.
