Synopsis

It has been said that you can measure how big a person is by what it takes to discourage them. Kay Adrid stands tall in a world that has offered adversity and she writes with uncanny understanding of the battles of the soul. Her contemplative reflections in this short collection are often bitter-sweet but always bone honest. In this spiritual reflection on the simplicities of life, Kay finds herself in a world where, the only thing that rings true is faith. In her first book she offers the reader insights through eyes which see the ordinary as far more than mundane. She has the ability to examine, dissect, and reveal every day things, people, and events, and then write about them. Spiritual, corporeal, and always fascinating each story draws you to the next. Written by Joey Solomon Everest, author of "The Way We Were." Kay Adrid is a retired Registered Nurse whose vast experience with critical life issues fostered her ability to write with total candor about how she views people, the world, and the soul. Most of her career was spent working in Intensive Care Units and she served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps Reserve. She is a mother of two children and grandmother of four girls.Semi-retired now she is pursuing her long awaited goal to become a writer. This is her first but hopefully not her last book.
