A total of 37 peer-reviewed papers from the July 2009, 14th international workshop are presented here (note that the cover mistakenly refers to it as XIII, instead of XIV), held in Dayton, Ohio. Encompassing applications of electromagnetic nondestructive evaluation in the aerospace industry and other fields, contributors from ten different countries describe areas such as aging aircraft, nuclear power plants, eddy current modeling, metallic materials characterization, microwave and terahertz techniques, and model based inversion and imaging. Some specific areas covered include sequential Monte Carlo-based data fusion for characterization of corrosion on aging aircraft structures, investigation of low-frequency electromagnetic wave interaction with metallic nanoparticles, evaluation of eddy current probe signals due to interaction with edge cracks, and design of patch sensors for microwave nondestructive evaluation of aircraft radomes.
