Don E. Albrecht is director of the Western Rural Development Center and previously served twenty-seven years as faculty in the Department of Rural Sociology at Texas A&M. He has researched and written extensively on natural resource concerns, economic restructuring, demographic trends, poverty, inequality, and education in the communities of rural America. He is the author of Our Energy Future, Rethinking Rural,Rural Housing and Economic Development, and Addressing Climate Change at the Community Level in the United States.
