About the Author

Ralph Waldo Trine (1866-1958) was an American writer and one of the central figures of the New Thought movement, a philosophical tradition emphasizing the relationship between mind, character, and lived experience. His work helped define early twentieth-century currents in spiritual philosophy, personal development, and ethical self-cultivation, bridging ideas drawn from Transcendentalism, Christianity, and broader metaphysical thought.Trine's writings, including In Tune with the Infinite and The Greatest Thing Ever Known, were widely read in both the United States and Europe, influencing later developments in positive thinking, self-help literature, and mind-body philosophy. His approach combined reflective prose with practical guidance, focusing on mental discipline, inner harmony, and the constructive use of thought. Today, Trine is regarded as a foundational voice in New Thought philosophy and an important precursor to modern works on personal growth, mindset, and spiritual development.
