Jiang Weiqiao (1873-1958) is famous for his influential book Yinshizi's Method'of Quiet Sitting which he wrote after curing his pulmonary tuberculosis through the practice of Jing Gong. His other major work is General Discourse on buddhist Studies.
Chen Yingning (1880-1969), Daoist name Yuandunzi, spent over sixty years as a devoted scholar of Daoist teachings and gained considerable expertise on Daoist breathing methods. in the 1930s, he worked as chief editor of Daoist Virtues biweekly and Daoists' Monthly, and wrote multiple volumes on Daoism. After 1957 he served as Vice Director, and later, Director of the Chinese Daoist Association.
