Synopsis
The book is designed to be a help and an encouragement to the student of the Bible who wishes to know more about how English grammar relates to their English Bible. It is a review of English grammar that uses the King James Bible for the majority of its illustrations. The book covers the four types of sentence structure in English and illustrates each structure from the Bible. It lists the marks of punctuation and focuses on those marks used in the King James Bible. It covers the prepositional phrases, the three verbal phrases (participles, gerunds and infinitives) the absolute phrase and the appositive in the section on diagraming. The book reviews diagraming, showing how to locate subjects and verbs and how to relate the clauses, phrases and single-word modifiers that apply to each. The book reviews the parts of speech, the case for nouns and pronouns, the degrees for modifiers and the principal parts for verbs. The book is helpful to anyone wishing to gain more from their Bible study in English.
