About the Author

David Pollard is an author, organizational consultant, accomplished public speaker, nationally recognized sculptor, and award-winning winemaker who teaches the path to a successful life as a living example of what can be achieved in life. He has bachelor's degrees in business administration and management information systems and was invited by this college to teach an entry-level computer course before even graduating. Among his many accomplishments, David was a pioneer in the sport of snowboarding, selling Burton Snowboards from his freshman dorm room back in 1981. Twenty-six years later he still hits the snow on a board every winter. He is also an accomplished hang glider pilot. As a winemaker, David has won nine medals in international competition for his red wines and sparkling wines in just the last three years. As a sculptor, he has shown and sold his human figurative works in some of the most important art show in the U.S., with collectors from Oregon to North Carolina. As a professional speaker, David has presented a wide range of material over the years to groups ranging from arts organizations to youth groups as well as corporations. David has been mentoring entry level yo-yos in the corporate world since 1987, when he administered his first corporate training program for 16 green college graduates.
