About the Author
Author of the award-winning, critically acclaimed volume, Best in Show: The World of Show Dogs and Dog Shows, Bo Bengtson is regarded as the foremost international authority on show dogs both past and present. Born and educated in Sweden, he has spent the past 50-plus years studying dogs worldwide as a breeder, owner-handler, and judge for the world’s top dog shows?Westminster, Crufts, the World Show?and in many different countries. He is the recipient of the American Whippet Club’s Certificate of Achievement, the Swedish Kennel Club’s Hamilton plaquette, and the Dog Writers Association of America’s Maxwell and Elsworth S. Howell award. Bengtson is the author of several critically acclaimed books about besides his most recent Best in Show, including Dogs of the World, and Dogs and Dog Shows Around the World. He founded and published award-winning publications, including Sighthound Review and Dogs in Review. He currently lives in California.
