Synopsis
This is a book about my 23 years of railroading both on freight and passenger trains. These are short stories about my life and my fellow co-workers on our jobs as conductors and engineers. It is a collection of stories about how the railroad began, strange and crazy things that happen, bad wrecks, dangers of the job, animals, how the weather affects trains, drugs and alcohol, and the beauty and tragedy of working the rails. Some of the stories will make you laugh, some will make you cry, they will leave you astounded and in some cases, leave you in awe. Even if you've never been on a train or never cared anything about trains, there are stories in this book you will not want to miss.
