About the Author

Harold W. Burgess (Ph.D., University of Notre Dame) is Professor Emeritus of Pastoral Ministries and Christian Education at Asbury Theological Seminary. He served as Vice President of Religious Education Press (1975-1995), and is currently Vice President of the Francis Asbury Society. Dr. Burgess is a member of the Wesleyan Theological Society, the Religious Education Association, and the Association of Professors and Researchers in Religious Education.
