About the Authors

J. Michael Matkin is founder and director of The Brenden Center, which instructs and educates the public on issues of spiritual formation and traditional Christian spiritual practices. He has a B.A. in non-Western history from University of Tulsa and an M.A. in church history from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia.

J. Michael Matkin is a full-time author and speaker. A founding member of the Eighth Day Community, he also served as the executive director of The Brendan Center. Matkin is the author of The Complete Idiot?s Guide to Gnostic Gospels, and is currently pursuing doctoral work in the history of spiritual formation through Bakke Graduate University.
