Synopsis

This is the second book in the FIRST Robots series. 344 high school teams compete against each other with robots they assembled using a kit of parts provided by FIRST Organization in this "Super Bowl of Smarts," the 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition. Founded by Dean Kamen (inventor of the Segueway), the FIRST Organization promotes science education to high school students by sponsoring this annual competition. Kamen, himself, is viewed as a sort of rock star by the students (Kamen writes the foreword in the books). This book will deconstruct the 30 regional winning robot designs from the 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition.
