The fabric is soft and pliable, making it a joy to use as a surface for what looks like complicated designs. Although the stitches look complex, anyone with a basic knowledge of needlework can make these projects after reading the two instructional pages at the beginning of this 48-page book.
All the projects featured will make terrific gifts to stitch for family and friends. They may look like you spent hours and hours stitching them, but in reality, they are quick and easy to complete. The variety of projects includes table runners, place mats, napkin rings, pot holders, coasters, basket cover and skirt, pin cushion, scissors case and pillows.
An easy-to-read full-color chart and a full-color photograph are given for each of the 17 projects in the book. Materials needed include Monk's cloth, medium worsted weight yarn and a tapestry needle.

The projects use natural or white Monk's cloth and worsted weight yarn, so for very little investment in time and money, you end up with a lovely pillow, table runner or other small gift item.
Easy enough to learn that anyone can make these designs if they know the basics skills required for cross-stitch, plastic canvas, sewing, quilting, knitting or crochet. A 2-page instructional section at the beginning of the book will answer all their questions.
Monk's cloth is a very soft fabric, making the projects great anyone who loves comfy, huggable items.
All the projects in this book use either natural or white Monk's cloth as the background fabric. You only need to change the color of the yarn if you want to match your own décor.
