About the Author
Dr Lauren F Streicher is an obstetrician-gynaecologist on staff at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital and teaches at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine. She writes a weekly column on women's health for the Chicago Sun-Times, and was recently named on Chicago magazine's list of 'Top Doctors'.
