The TEM area covers several key techniques, including: conventional specimen preparation methods for cultured cells and biomedical and plant tissues; cryospecimen preparation by high-pressure freezing and cryoultramicrotomy negative staining and immunogold labeling techniques; and TEM crystallography and cryo-TEM tomography.
