About the Authors
Marc Freedman is founder and CEO of Civic Ventures. The author of Encore, Prime Time, and The Kindness of Strangers, Freedman spearheaded creation of The Purpose Prize and Experience Corps. He has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the nation's leading social entrepreneurs, is a winner of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, and has been selected as one of the fifty most influential individuals in the nonprofit sector. Freedman lives in the San Francisco area.
