Sportswriter Charley Rosen and star basketball coach Phil Jackson collaborate on an account of their shared history in the world of basketball. They recount Jackson''s journey from New York Knick to seven-time world champion NBA coach (six times with the Chicago Bulls and this year with the LA Lakers) and Rosen''s journey to become ''the foremost chronicler of the game'' (The Wall Street Journal). Packed with insights into the game and its major players, this, however, is not just a story of basketball but the story of a friendship forged in the sacred brotherhood of the hoop.

His many novels include The House of Moses All-Stars, a New York Times Notable Book, and Sammy Wong: All-American. His non-fiction works include The Scandals of ’51: How the Gamblers Almost Killed College Basketball and More than a Game, with Phil Jackson.
