About the Author
KEVIN SMITH sold his comic book collection to fund Clerks (1994), and after the film became a huge hit he was able to buy them back. One of the most successful independent film-makers of recent years, Smith is also the writer/director of Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma. He owns a comic book store, Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash in New Jersey.
