Phyllis J. Perry grew up in a small northern California town and she has also lived in New Jersey and Colorado. She attended the University of California at Berkeley, San Francisco State, and the University of Colorado in Boulder. Phyllis taught in the elementary grades and worked in other areas of education including serving as a principal, curriculum specialist, and as Director of Gifted Education. She has taught at Universities. She has written more than 80 books of fiction and nonfiction for both children and adults. There are four books in the Fribble Mouse Library Mystery Series. Six of her books deal with Colorado History. Several of her books have won awards. Phyllis has enjoyed working in community theater and she especially enjoys camping with her family and visiting national parks. Phyllis now lives in Colorado only a short drive from Rocky Mountain National Park. Many of her books, such as the Fribble Mouse Library Mysteries are designed to help students acquire learning skills She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Authors and Illustrators and of the Colorado Authors' League.
