He serves as minister with the Cason Lane church of Christ in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.David Lanphear s oldest son, Adam, was killed in an auto accident in 1999. Five years later, his wife died unexpectedly following a heart attack, just 34 days short of their thirtieth wedding anniversary. He is an attorney, and serves as a Bible class teacher and church elder in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
