Synopsis
Likening God to the magical, sparkling stars in the sky, Sam implores God for help when his favorite stuffed bear disappears, but when his bear is still missing and the stars in the sky are hidden by a storm, Sam thinks that God has abandoned him, but he soon learns a valuable lesson about God and the power of faith.

About the Author
Sheila Walsh is the host of Children of Faith, a spin-off of the popular Women of Faith conferences. She is also a world renowned recording artist, keynote speaker for Women of Faith, former co-host of The 700 Club, and the author or coauthor of numerous books for grown-ups, including Honestly, Bring Back the Joy, and Living Fearlessly. Sheila and her husband, Barry, live with their son, Christian, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Deborah Maze’s evocative illustrations grace the pages of numerous greeting cards and picture books, including The Chronicles of Narnia picture book editions. Deborah resides in Capistrano Beach, California, with her husband, John, and their two children.

One evening after bedtime, young Sam decides that God is like the stars twinkling outside his bedroom window happy, bright, and bathing him with light. The next day, after his beloved stuffed bear disappears, Sam asks God to help him find his favorite friend.
When the cuddly bear doesn t show up, however, Sam decides that God is gone and cannot hear his prayers. But Sam is about to learn a very important lesson of how God is always with us and never leaves us even in the times when we feel the most alone.
