Synopsis
Windows NT is a powerful network operating system that has the ability to communicate using several different network protocols. Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is one. TCP/IP was developed for Unix systems. It has become a "de facto" standard with the explosion of the World Wide Web, which depends upon TCP/IP. Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) have developed this volume to help networking professionals gain knowledge that directly applies to the Microsoft Certification exam for TCP/IP. The key technical topics covered in this exam cram include: the architecture of TCP/IP, how to install and configure TCP/IP, and IP addresses and how they are used for IP routing.
About the Author
Gary Novosel is a MCSE, MCP+ Internet, and MCT. He is currently employed as a Project Manager with a major computer manufacturer in northwest Houston, TX. He started building PCs and networks in 1983, has expertise in UNIX as well as NT, and is an expert in distributed document management.
Kurt Hudson is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He has trained for Productivity Point, TeKnowledge, and a variety of private organizations, and co-authored The IIS 3.0 Bible (IDG, 1997).
