About the Author

Gail Harker studied art in both Canada and Scotland, and qualified for the Senior Award of Licentiateship (LCGI) given by the City and Guilds of London Institute. She teaches several City and Guilds embroidery courses and is an examiner for them. She founded and operates the Gail Harker Creative Studies Center in Oak Harbour, Washington, USA and pioneered the introduction of the first City and Guilds Creative Studies Centres in Washing State, California and Canada. She is the author of three other embroidery books.
