About the Author

Rena’s designing career has provided her with joy and recreation ever since selling her first design in 1988. During her days as a college professor, designing was the perfect complement to her career. During the school year, Stevens would always find spare time to work up swatches and envision new designs. Afghans are her absolute favorite and she has sold more than 150 designs and authored 15 books. Rena lives in Escondido, California with her husband Steve. She has a daughter Claire, a grandson Asher, a dog Pheobe, and three cats. Rena retired from teaching almost four years ago but as anyone who is having a good retirement will tell you, she’s still as busy as ever!
