About the Author
History writer and workshop presenter James P. Mesker turns his attention to a little known piece of Western history in this personal memoir. The author of A Practical Guide to Collecting Civil War, Mesker is also a historical researcher, archivist, and a volunteer with the Western Reserve Historical Society and Cleveland Landmarks Commission. He attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
