Mother Nature's Fifteen Minutes
Everyone is famous for 15 minutes--even Mother Nature! I was honored to be asked to write a chapter in Solstice Shift and to be in the company of so many fine authors. The Summer Solstice, called Letha's Day in the Celtic Druid Tradition, has always been one of my favorite times of the year. It is the time of absolute florescence. Letha means lethal, as in death, because after the Summer Solstice, comes death, in terms of nature and the slow dying of the sun as we approach autumn. In Mother Nature's 15 Minutes, I made an effort to write about the current florescence of human consciousness. Living in a materialistic world of dollars and very little common sense, we often forget that we are HUMAN ANIMALS, and an integral part of nature. Our quest, should we be bold enough to carry it through, is to connect with and better understand the Great Mother, Earth--to find ways to help her heal and grow. The first step to expanding human consciousness is to spend some time in nature at the Summer Solstice; in the woods, by the ocean, in the park, or in your own backyard. By giving some thought to Mother Nature's 15 Minutes, you can then give some thought to your personal 15 minutes of florescence, deciding if you want it to last a few minutes, or a lifetime. The choice is yours. I hope you will enjoy this fascinating book--the photos are incredible, too!END
