The cases have been updated for the purposes of this edition. The volume consists of four parts covering the following topics: Part 1: Judicial Organisation and Sources of Law-covering civil, administrative and constitutional court organisations in England, France, Switzerland, Spain. Italy, France and Germany; judicial review in Europe, South America, Eastern Europe, Russia and South Africa. Part 2: Constitutionalisation and Internationalisation of Private Rights -- covering dignity of men and women in the workplace in United States, European Union, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy; privacy in Germany, United States, Italy, France and Switzerland.

Part 3: Security for Performance-covering atypical transactions securing performance (standby letters of credit, guarantees on first demand and cognate instruments) and typical transactions securing performance (retention of title, transfer as security, and factoring). Part 4: Good Faith Purchases -- covering acquisition of property rights in moveables other than by transfer from the owner; bona fide purchase and acquisitive prescription.
