At that reunion, Greg met his baseball heroes and presented each of them with a copy of the first unpublished edition. This book is a tribute to Roberto Clemente-the best right fielder ever. Spalding had listened faithfully to Bob Prince and Nellie King's broadcast of each game as they described Willie Stargell, Dave Giusti, Dock Ellis Steve Blass, Manny Sanguillen, Dave Cash, Bob Robertson, Richie Hebner, manager Danny Murtaugh, Vic Davallio, Rennie Stennett, Luke Walker-these were Spalding's boys of summer. An interesting fan's perspective on this World Series team. Published in a limited edition, in very good condition. I have more than 300 baseball team histories in stock.
