This issue of Felix: A Journal of Media Arts & Communications is curated around the idea of the political, the transgressive, the risk of making works described by artists living in Mexico and the US. Risk/Riesgo is 568 bilingual pages of articles, intriguing interviews and artist pages referent to topics relating to public space, culture jamming, body politics, reconstructing history, and daring. The Standby Program and Editor Kathy High created Risk/Riesgo with the help of guest editors Ximena Cuevas (Mexico), Roberto Lopez (Mexico), Jesse Lerner (US) and Ricardo Nicolayevsky (Mexico).

Funding for FELIX is provided, in part, by the Andy Warhol Foundation. This "magazine" is perfectbound and is English going one way and Spanish the other. There's more than 335 pages just in the English portion. It covers a wide variety of communication issues, all with the emphasis on the radical, the artistic, and the just plain weird. Issues covered (with words, pictures, drawings and asides) include public spaces, writings on the wall, media jamming, the clash of sexuality and technology, and a great deal more.
