Synopsis
This book is aimed at engineers seeking to increase their understanding of flow analysis technology. It is designed to give a thorough introduction to the theoretical background of computer simulation of the injection molding process. Mathematical models of the process are derived in detail and appropriate numerical methods for the solution of the governing equations are introduced. To a large extent the book is self-contained and most of the mathematical background is provided. Readers are assumed to have a working knowledge of calculus and matrix algebra but nothing beyond what is taught in undergraduate engineering courses.
