Synopsis
This architectural monograph highlights the work of Winka Dubbeldam's progressive, research-driven office, Archi-Tectonics. Founded in 1994, the studio has produced numerous projects to a wide appeal, appearing in prominent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art and the Venice Biennale. The book features over twenty works, built and unbuilt, ranging from interactive exhibitions to rural residences and urban towers. Focusing on new, highly regarded and highly publicized buildings, such as the Aida Hair Salon and the Greenwich Project in New York City and the Gipsy Trail House in upstate New York, several projects, including a high-rise structure in Miami and a housing development in Utrecht, will make their first published appearance in this monograph. About the Author
Winka Dubbeldam is the principal of Archi-Tectonics, a progressive architecture firm based in New York City. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at Harvard University and Practice Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dubbeldam has given lectures throughout prominent institutions in the United States and Europe. She lives in New York City
