It IS possible to simplify your life.
I decided to write Simply the Savior after I made a major decision to "downsize" my life. Three years ago I left a management position to return to full-time writing at home. As a Christian, I relied on the Lord to help me make that decision, and I knew He would also help me change gears effectively. However, everything I was reading on the market about simplification either ignored the spiritual side of it or introduced new age thinking into the process. " Wait a minute," I thought. "Jesus Christ had a whole lot to say about getting your priorities straight and living a simple, rewarding life. I just need to look to Him." As always, He didn't disappoint me. I realize not everyone has the luxury of quitting a full-time job in order to simplify. I was a single mom for 7 years and I know about economic realities. However, I do believe it is possible for any of us, in any situation, to adopt an attitude of simplicity. Simply the Savior will lead you through a step by step, Scripture-based process to do just that. Thanks for being interested in this book. When people ask me how long it took to write it, I usually say 50 years because it includes quite a few of my lifetime experiences. I've been remarried for 10 years and together my husband and I have four married children and five granddaughters! (Not to mention the two spoiled cats who live with us.) It is my prayer that the truth God revealed to me through the writing of Simply the Savior will touch you, too.
