101 Investment Lessons from the Wizards of Wall Street
After losing a small fortune in the stock market, instead of giving up, I got inspired. I read as many books, newspapers, and magazines on investing as I could find. I also sought out the advice of three dozen professional money managers and financial experts, investment gurus like John Bogle, Shelby Davis, David Dreman, Elaine Garzarelli, Bill Miller, Louis Navellier, William O’Neil, Jim O’Shaughnessy, Ralph Wanger, and Marty Whitman, to name only a few.
The result: 101 Investment Lessons from the Wizards of Wall Street, a common-sense guide to investing in the stock market during all market conditions. Included in this book are strategies and inside tips as well as individual profiles of 20 top investment professionals. I asked these men and women what they looked for in an investment, the mistakes they made and what they learned, and the secrets to making money on Wall Street. From Lesson 1 (Choose a successful strategy) to Lesson 101 (It’s never too late to make money in the market), the book is filled with useful advice.
As for me, I recovered everything I lost in the stock market. I wrote this book to prevent other investors from making the same mistakes I made. My hope is you will use what you learn from the experts to make money in the market with a minimum of risk. If you come close to doing that, then this book has served its purpose.
