Synopsis
The purpose of this textbook is to simulate the importing experience of a retail buyer while exposing students to the policies and procedures that are associated with sourcing merchandise in another country. The book's chapters parallel the importing process. The project is designed as a simulation to provide students the actual experience of importing a product. The student may choose to import from wholesale catalogs that are on the CD-ROM, or they may choose to continue the product development process from a prior class. This textbook teaches students to be well-trained importers. It also serves as an essential handbook to importers, product developers, and retail buyers.
