Synopsis
The difference between a good toy and great one is the ability to entertain--and instruct--a child at the same time. The author, a woodworker with a graduate degree in Curriculum and Instructional Materials, combines his skills to show parents which toys are most effective for early childhood education, and then he gives them all the information they need to build those toys themselves. About the Author
Les Neufeld has been an ardent woodworker since childhood. With early training in the logging and lumber industry, he later became a machinist and went on to earn a master's degree in education. He received his woodworking and design training at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Author of Tremendous Toy Trucks (Taunton Press, 2001) and Making Toys that Teach (Taunton Press, 2003), Les lives in Quesnel, British Columbia.
